This is an excellent choice for the bride with a limited budget.  These crystal strands will give you an excellent look for the price. They also have a string connection which makes it VERY EASY to cut them to your desired length.

NOTE  Without a light source, (either natural or artificial) even the most expensive crystals will not sparkle.  Mini spotlights or larger flood lighting is recommended.

 

 Honestly, except for the weight, at a distance it is nearly impossible tell the acrylics from the glass link strands.  I have put both acrylic and glass link strands on a tree and people cannot tell the difference between the two.

Crystal refers to glass, which because of its manufacturing process and superior qualities, is more expensive than ordinary glass. Nowadays because of their higher efficiency and precision, machines are used to cut crystal into complex, faceted crystals to be used for jewelry and other decorative items. In 1892, Daniel Swarovski invented a machine to cut jewelry stones perfectly. In 1895, he moved his company, known as Swarovski, from Bohemia to the Wattens, Austria where he used the Rhine River as a source of energy to run the company’s machinery. From here the name “Rhinestone” was born.
