Shipments originate from The Land Of 10,000 Lakes - Minnesota USA.

PRIORITY SERVICE

The United States Postal Service estimates that orders shipped PRIORITY will be delivered within 2 or 3 business days after it has left our warehouse. Stock items will leave the warehouse next day. See shipping schedule below for hand-crafted items.

RUSH ORDERS

PRIORITY MAIL EXPRESS is the fastest domestic service for orders up to 70 pounds. Rush orders must be received by DMW before 10 AM CST. Be sure to make a request in the ORDER NOTES in the checkout process if you require a proof of delivery signature. Depending on your zip code, delivery may take up to 2 days. DMW makes no delivery guarantees. Rush orders ARE NOT returnable.

NO GUARANTEES

DMW cannot offer any delivery guarantees. The delivery schedule is only an estimate of time based on information provided from USPS, and the actual shipping address and location. Once DMW hands your order over to the PO, DMW has no control over the timing and actual delivery of the shipment. Additionally, DMW cannot be held responsible for delays as a result of postal strikes, or other reasons of non-service.

SHIPPING SCHEDULE

Order early!Stock items will leave the warehouse next day (excluding weekends and holidays). All handcrafted items will be shipped within 14-21 days.  If your order contains both stock items and hand-crafted items, you can expect to receive multiple shipments - not necessarily on the same day.

Unusual weather that is affecting large areas of the country may affect delivery times. Mother nature can certainly screw up a fine-tuned process!  If there is extreme weather or natural disasters, we ask, and thank you in advance, for your patience and understanding. 

SIGNATURE RECEIPT

If you do not want your delivery left on your doorstep in your absence, then you must request a Signature Receipt. You can request a Signature Receipt in the Order Notes during the checkout process.  Without a signature receipt, DMW will not specify a signature is required, and DMW is not responsible for missing or stolen deliveries if left on a porch or doorstep.

SHIPPING TO A NON-RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS

You must notify DMW if you are shipping your order to a non-residential (commercial) building so we can specify that a signature receipt is required. You can request a Signature Receipt in the Order Notes during the checkout process.  Without a signature receipt, the shipper MAY drop the item just inside the door, and DMW cannot be held responsible for missing or stolen deliveries.

PO BOX NUMBER

We cannot ship to a PO Box number.

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE - NO SHIP DATES

Offices and shipping warehouses are closed on national and religious holidays. Holidays may affect the normal shipping schedule.

SHIPPING NOTIFICATIONS & TRACKING

You will receive numerous notifications informing you of the shipping status.

  • Updates when the tracking is updated
  • Shipment out for delivery
  • Shipment delivered

LARGE ORDERS

Additional shipping costs may be required for oversized orders. Actual shipping costs for very large orders will be calculated at the time of shipment, and each large order is handled individually. We will contact you to discuss additional fees when heavy, over-sized, and multiple boxes must be used to ship your entire order.

MULTIPLE SHIPMENTS

Many orders require shipment in multiple boxes   Sometimes the boxes get separated during transit.  If you don't receive all boxes in the same delivery, give it a couple days for the remaining boxes to catch up. Re: Tiered Cake Stand Orders To protect from shifting and damage during transit, each tier will be packed and shipped to you in its own box. 

DAMAGED IN TRANSIT

If there is visible damage to the box, take pictures before you open it. Save all shipping materials, and the box, in the event the shipper chooses to inspect the damage. Then take photos of any damaged items. Contact Us the day of delivery to notify us of the damage. Send us photos of any box and item damage.

UNCLAIMED - NO FORWARDING ADDRESS

It is the responsibility of the buyer to provide the correct shipping address. There are no refunds for

  • Unclaimed shipments
  • Shipments with no forwarding addresses
  • Shipments classified "undeliverable" by the Post Office.

If the shipment is returned to DWM, it can be re-shipped to you at a valid shipping address if you are willing to pay for shipping costs a second time.
